Mount Kenya University department of psychology has qualified and dedicated scholars, professional psychologists, researchers and practitioners and other support faculty members. The department also supports the University counselling services to both staff and students
The department contributed a lot to the “Beyond the Limit” television Programme that focuses on people living with disabilities and the related phycho-social needs. The programme which airs on Tv47 every Saturday at 7.30 pm is spearheaded by Dr. Jane Nyutu and Dr. Serah Kimaru Dean, Mount Kenya University School of Social Sciences.
Qualified trained students from this department work in careers at the health and learning institutions, correctional and rehabilitation facilities, government departments, non-governmental organisations and research organisations such as:
